Flowship Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 19, 2026
Flowship is a group focus app operated by Steam Engine (steamengine.kr), Republic of Korea ("we", "us"). Friends form a party, and the party walks a virtual route on a real-world map, powered by each member's focus time. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and the choices you have.
The short version
- Flowship never asks for your device's location. The map journey is virtual; there is no location permission in the app at all.
- There are no ads, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and no sale of data — the only third parties involved are the cloud services that host the app's own backend.
- You can start without any personal information: a new account is anonymous by default.
- You can delete your account at any time inside the app (see Account deletion).
1. Data we collect
Account
- Anonymous account (default): on first launch the app creates an account identified only by a random ID. No name, email, or other personal information is involved.
- Optional sign-in: if you choose to sign in with Apple or Google (to keep your progress across devices), we receive the email address and name your provider shares. These are stored in our authentication system and are not shown to other users.
Profile
- Display name (a nickname you choose), a preset avatar selection (no photos), and an optional home country.
Focus and walking data
- Timestamps of when your focus starts and ends ("focus intervals"), and a last-seen timestamp updated periodically while you walk. Our servers convert these intervals into walking distance for your party.
Party and journey data
- Party membership and join requests, planned routes and journey progress, city check-ins, collected souvenirs / medals / badges, the companions you have walked with and the distance shared with them, your in-app notification inbox, and any custom focus activity labels you create (private to you).
What we do not collect
- Device location — the app never requests location permission.
- Contacts, photos, microphone, or advertising identifiers.
- Analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDK data — the app ships with none of these SDKs.
2. How we use data
Solely to run Flowship: creating and syncing your account, converting focus time into party distance on our servers, showing your party its shared progress, and delivering in-app notifications. We do not sell personal data, show ads, or build advertising or behavioral profiles.
3. What other users can see
Flowship is a group app. Members of your party see your display name, avatar, whether you are currently walking, your walking distance and times, check-ins, and collected items. Your email address (if any) and private activity labels are never shown to anyone.
4. Service providers (hosting)
We use these infrastructure providers, acting on our behalf:

No other third parties receive personal data. We disclose data only if required by law.
5. Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in My Page → Settings → Delete account. Deletion removes your sign-in identity and everything that identifies you — display name, avatar, home country, private activity labels, and pending join requests. The walking-distance ledger your parties earned together remains in their records, but anonymized: the distance stays, your name does not. See Account deletion for details.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Server-side access is restricted by row-level security so that users can only read what the app is designed to show them.
7. Children
Flowship is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
You may access and correct your profile in the app, delete your account in the app, or contact us to exercise access, correction, deletion, or consent-withdrawal rights under applicable law (including the Korean Personal Information Protection Act).
9. Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version at this address with a new effective date, and for material changes we will notify you in the app.

Flowship(이하 "서비스")은 Steam Engine (steamengine.kr, 대한민국, 이하 "회사")이 운영하는 그룹 집중 앱입니다. 회사는 「개인정보 보호법」 등 관련 법령을 준수하며, 본 방침을 통해 이용자의 개인정보가 어떻게 처리되는지 알립니다.
요약
- Flowship은 기기의 위치정보를 수집하지 않습니다. 지도 위 여정은 가상이며, 앱에 위치 권한 자체가 없습니다.
- 광고, 분석·추적 SDK, 개인정보 판매가 없습니다. 관여하는 제3자는 백엔드를 호스팅하는 클라우드 서비스뿐입니다.
- 기본 계정은 익명입니다. 개인정보 없이 시작할 수 있습니다.
- 앱 안에서 언제든 계정을 삭제할 수 있습니다 (계정 삭제 안내).
1. 수집하는 개인정보의 항목 및 방법
- 계정(기본·익명): 최초 실행 시 무작위 식별자만으로 계정이 생성됩니다. 이름·이메일 등 개인정보가 포함되지 않습니다.
- 선택적 로그인: Apple 또는 Google 로그인을 선택하면 해당 제공자가 전달하는 이메일 주소와 이름을 수집합니다(인증 시스템에만 저장, 다른 이용자에게 비공개).
- 프로필: 표시 이름(닉네임), 기본 제공 아바타 선택, 선택적 거주 국가.
- 집중·걷기 데이터: 집중 시작/종료 시각(집중 인터벌), 걷는 동안 주기적으로 갱신되는 최근 접속 시각. 서버가 이를 파티의 이동 거리로 환산합니다.
- 파티·여정 데이터: 파티 가입 정보와 가입 요청, 경로와 여정 진행 상황, 도시 체크인, 수집한 기념품·메달·배지, 함께 걸은 동행과 공유 거리, 앱 내 알림함, 이용자가 만든 집중 활동 라벨(본인에게만 공개).
수집하지 않는 정보: 위치정보(위치 권한을 요청하지 않음), 연락처, 사진, 마이크, 광고 식별자, 분석·크래시·광고 SDK 데이터.
2. 개인정보의 처리 목적
서비스 제공 목적으로만 처리합니다: 계정 생성·동기화, 집중 시간의 이동 거리 환산, 파티 진행 상황 표시, 앱 내 알림 제공. 개인정보를 판매하지 않으며, 광고나 행태 프로파일링에 사용하지 않습니다.
3. 다른 이용자에게 공개되는 정보
같은 파티의 구성원은 이용자의 표시 이름, 아바타, 현재 걷는 중인지 여부, 이동 거리·시간, 체크인, 수집 아이템을 볼 수 있습니다. 이메일 주소와 활동 라벨은 누구에게도 공개되지 않습니다.
4. 개인정보 처리의 위탁 및 국외 이전
회사는 서비스 운영을 위해 아래 업체에 처리를 위탁하며, 데이터는 해당 업체의 국외 인프라에 저장·처리됩니다. 이전을 원하지 않는 경우 서비스 이용이 제한될 수 있으며, 계정 삭제로 언제든 이전을 중단할 수 있습니다.

이 외의 제3자 제공은 없으며, 법령에 따라 요구되는 경우에만 예외로 합니다.
5. 보유·이용 기간 및 파기
개인정보는 계정 유지 기간 동안 보유합니다. 마이페이지 → 설정 → Delete account에서 언제든 계정을 삭제할 수 있으며, 삭제 시 로그인 정보와 이용자를 식별하는 모든 정보(표시 이름, 아바타, 거주 국가, 활동 라벨, 대기 중인 가입 요청)가 지체 없이 파기됩니다. 파티가 함께 획득한 이동 거리 기록은 익명화되어 파티 기록에만 남습니다(거리는 남고 이름은 제거됩니다). 전자적 파일은 복구 불가능한 방법으로 삭제합니다.
6. 안전성 확보 조치
전송 구간 암호화(TLS), 행 수준 보안(Row-Level Security)에 의한 접근 통제 등 기술적 보호조치를 시행합니다.
7. 아동의 개인정보
서비스는 만 14세 미만 아동을 대상으로 하지 않으며, 아동의 개인정보를 고의로 수집하지 않습니다.
8. 이용자의 권리
이용자는 앱에서 직접 프로필을 열람·수정하고 계정을 삭제할 수 있으며, 아래 연락처를 통해 개인정보 열람·정정·삭제·처리정지 및 동의 철회를 요구할 수 있습니다.
